Metal and X-ray-detectable products are essential in the meat industry because processing involves cutting, trimming, deboning, mincing, and high-speed packing - all high-risk steps for physical contaminants. Blades, hooks, mesh gloves, scrapers, PPE parts, seals/O-rings, and tool fragments can break or go missing, and once meat is ground or mixed, a small fragment becomes almost impossible to spot. Detectable versions give metal detectors and X-ray systems a much better chance of finding contaminants before product leaves site, protecting consumers and avoiding recalls.

They also strengthen HACCP and audit evidence in tough conditions (wet environments, heavy washdowns, temperature swings) that increase wear and loss risk. Detectable tools and consumables are a practical “design-out” control - less guessing, more proving.
