Metal and X-ray-detectable products are essential in the cheese industry because cheese production has lots of high-risk touchpoints - cutting, trimming, mould handling, packing lines, and frequent use of small tools and PPE - where fragments can break off and become physical contaminants. Using detectable items (pens, gloves, scrapers, plasters, earplugs, tool parts, etc.) means that if something goes missing, your metal detector or X-ray system has a much better chance of finding it before it reaches customers, reducing injury risk, waste, and recalls.

They also strengthen HACCP controls and audit evidence: detectable materials are a practical way to show you’ve designed processes to prevent and detect foreign bodies, which is especially important in cheese environments where moisture, cleaning chemicals, and cold-room handling can increase wear-and-tear on equipment and accessories.
